The Great Southeast Book Festival

Had a fun time in Hollywood where "The Crossings" received its second award, the Grand Prize in the book festival. While we were there we did all of the things first-time visitors do - take a tour to see the homes of the stars, see Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, etc. We stayed at the historic Roosevelt Hotel which is on Hollywood Blvd. on the Walk of Fame across from the Grauman Chinese Theater and the Dolby Theater where the Academy Awards are held each year. The Roosevelt was built in 1927 by many of the big stars of the era who needed a place to stay when they came to Hollywood. The first Academy Awards ceremony was held there in 1929. While the flight is a long one, we went from 4 below zero here to 82 degrees there in hours so I'm not complaining. Thank you for your support.
